It is about two beautiful young ladies who live in Haiti. Their names are Saintania and Eveline, and they are ready to come home. I first met them about two years ago during a video phone call and they are so precious. They are very caring and loving girls who want to join their sisters, brothers and parents here in Ohio. Now that being said, their parents need your support. They are making home made candles to raise the money to bring their girls home. These candles are the best. They smell great just sitting there on the counter. I have bought several of their products and will never buy a store bought candle again. If you would be willing to stop buy their store to see what they have to offer that would be such a blessing for them. Remember, Christmas is just around the corner and there is still time to get something sent to your house before you need to wrap it and give it as a gift. Oh, I almost forgot, she is also having an auction on her blog so stop by there and bid on some of the fantastic things she has up for auction. One of them is a vacation, so hurry over there too.

www.raisingupgodschildren.blogspot.com
www.shekinahglorycandles.blogspot.com (this is also on facebook, so you can find them there and become a fan of their candles there too!)

Thank you in advance for following your heart and supporting the Wyatt's in their adventures. I know it will be a blessing to them, and you will be more blessed by the wonderful candles you get to enjoy!

November!

November is national adoption month! What a blessing to think that we have an entire month to celebrate adoptions. I was adopted 28 years ago when I asked Jesus into my heart. This year we adopted out youngest son, and are looking to adopting more children as the Lord leads us. I am thrilled to report that Michelle brought home her baby Delidson in September and is doing great. He is so cute and adjusting well. We also have two other families getting ready to bring home their girls. One family is going in November to bring their little girl home from China and the other family is preparing to bring their girls home from Haiti. I can't wait to meet all of these girls and the many more children the Lord is going to bring into our lives!

Dreaming of a fairy tale...

"I have always wanted children, more specifically I have always wanted dark skinned babies. When I was a very small girl, my mom would try to explain that biologically, the best I could hope for was a baby that was half dark skinned. This made me very unhappy. Little did I know God was preparing me.

Twice in my life, the concrete option of adopting, came up - both times God had other plans for me.

While at a CWLA (Child Welfare League of America) conference; one of the presenters stated that 140,000 children needed a "forever" family. God used that to do a tremendous work See, I was still dreaming of the fairy tale - you know the one where you lock eyes with someone across a crowded room, which leads to an incredibly romantic relationship, followed by a even more romantic proposal that leads to the most romantic wedding in history. Then after several glorious years, the babies come every two years. God took that fairy tale and turned it into his dream for my life.- one that has taught me so much about myself and the world.

I came home with the desire to adoption from the foster care system, had a home study, opened up my foster care license, and began shipping my home study all over the country. After three years and several heartbreaks from losing children I thought would be mine, God once again changed my mind and my heart.”

It is exciting to see how God is moving Michelle to her son. Also, if you have any questions for her please ask as she does read this blog and is open to any questions you may have for her. Now in saying that I am also going to ask that you remember her in your prayers as she is still going through this very long process and has her days of struggle just like everyone else. So please continue to lift her up and Delidson to our Heavenly Father as you are prompted.

Have a Blessed Day!

It is a new month :)

Well, I know it has been a month since I have posted on here and so much has happened. First, let me say that the baby has gotten out of the hospital and is now in the foster home. He is much better, but still needs a touch from the Lord. The birth mother is interested in learning how to take care of him and wants to improve her situation. Please pray for the foster parents to show her the love of Jesus and that the birth mom would accept Him as her Savior.

Now, let me introduce you Michele. She is a sweet lady I have had the privilege of getting to know at our church. During this next month I will be sharing her story with you. For now I am going to give you a little taste of her story just to keep you coming back. As the Lord leads you I would ask that you would pray for her during her process of adopting her sweet baby boy. Here is a picture of her little guy and a brief part of her story.

“August 5, 2007 is a day that changed my life forever. It is the day I was first introduced to the adorable 8 month old baby boy who would be mine son. Legally, he did not become my son until January 2009, but in my heart I became a mommy August 5. I know I'm unbiased but you have to admit he is adorable. There is a famous adoption saying "you may not have grown under my heart but you grew in my heart". This is so true - I did not truly understand that until that moment I first saw him. Oh by the way, his name is Delidson.”

News...

Well, it has been an exciting time lately and the Lord is doing great things here. First I want to share that we have a family that is getting their story together for us to post on here. I can't wait to get their story out here so you can support them on their journey. Second I want to let you know about the little boy I have been posting on here. He is eating from a bottle and the feeding tube was removed yesterday! However, they found a hole in his heart and are trying to see if they need to do surgery now or wait to see if he grows out of it. I know I don't know how all of this works, but I know that I serve a Great God and He will heal this little child. So, I thank you for your prayers and ask that while you are praying for this little boys healing would you also lift up his birth mother and the foster parents. Birth mom needs to know Jesus, and the foster parents need wisdom and direction.

Time for change...

So, Christmas is now over. The presents are opened, the left overs are out, it is almost time to take down the tree and decorations. What is next? Well, it is the new year and with it comes a time of reflecting and changes. I don't believe in new years resolutions, but I do like to take this time and reflect on what has changed in my life and what I would like to see change in my future. I guess I should clarify that I take this time to spend with Christ and ask him what He wants me to change in my future. I am excited just thinking about what is coming in the next year for me and my family, but at the same time I know the Lord is taking me to a whole new level and it isn't going to be easy. One thing I am going to change is something on this blog. I want to take and support one family each month on this blog. Use it as a means to get their story out and help raise support for them either by prayer or anything else the Lord would have you do for them. I am excited and can't wait to see what will happen by pouring out into the lives of others going through adoption, fostering or just sponsoring orphanages. So, starting in January, I will post about our first family that we are going to encourage on here and get their story out to you. Today I got a call from children's services about the adoption of our youngest son. I am so excited and it got me thinking that although I cherish the memories when I was growing up with my Dad, Mom and Sister, I am loving the memories I am making with my Husband and three Children. I love watching my daughter trying to figure it all out. Joyona is so smart and it won't be long before she really gets the meaning of Christmas. Tra on the other hand is still in the stage where he gets upset that we have to wrap up all these cool toys for his cousin. What he doesn't realize is that most of them he is getting also, but then that is the fun of being Mom right. Now our youngest son is so excited to rip the paper off the packages and just sit in my lap and watch.
We celebrated Christmas with Tim's Mom, Step-Dad, Brother and his family. When it came time to unwrap the gifts our youngest just climbed into my lap and sat down to watch. When he got his gifts to unwrap he went to town and even helped unwrap mine, but he never left my lap. What a blessing he is. Anyway, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and write down all of the special memories you are making with your friends and family this year. Oh, and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Update on baby boy...

He is gaining weight and is now 6lbs 2ounces and getting a bit of double chin on him. He is now thriving but not making enough improvements to come home just yet. He is still not eating from a bottle or sucking, but he is technically only 36 weeks gestation. They will not release him from the hospital until he is able to drink from a bottle. Because he was on a ventilator he thinks that anything in his mouth is bad so he won't suck and when he tries to suck he has trouble figuring out how to breath. He also has reflux, but the nurses say the cereal seems to be helping with that a little. So, my prayer for him is that the Lord would show him how to suck and breath at the same time, and to realize that it is good. That the reflux would go away completely and he would be able to be released before the end of the year. Also, please pray for birth mom, she is being very abrasive with the nursing staff at the hospital and is very upset in regards to anyone else taking care of him. Finally, please pray for salvation for birth mom and that the foster parents going to the hospital will share the love of Jesus to all they come in contact with.

I do have a Praise to update you all on, he did not have a drop in his heart rate at all on Tuesday! I always enjoy going to them. Tonight my husband and I decided to take all of our kids into the service. Our oldest daughter is 6 and she loves it. Our boys however get very restless. They were singing and dancing in the beginning, but about 30 minutes in they were very tired of being in there and wanted to go to their class. I took them back and was so sad because I so enjoyed having them in the service with me. I love worshiping the Lord and looking down to see my kids doing the same thing I am doing like dancing or raising my hands in worship. Anyway, in the end, I had several people tell me how much fun they had watching the boys dancing during the service. Someday soon the boys will stay in service with us and we will worship as a family, but until then, I will continue to break them in slowly.

Waiting...

The Lord is teaching me to wait upon Him in so many areas right now. We had court for our youngest child and the judge didn't give his verdict right then and there. This judge reviews everything and sends his verdict in the mail. So, even though I know the answer, we have to wait to hear it from him. This is frustrating to me and my husband and it is also a first for us. I am trying to patiently wait for His timing as I have done from the beginning of this case. Now we are hoping to get the news before Christmas so we can celebrate it during the holidays, but I know that His timing is perfect, so anytime is good for me. Anyway, I am glad to be back on a regular routine and looking forward to preparing for Christmas this year!

My trial

I have a lot of thoughts floating around in my head tonight. I was not able to get on here this morning so I thought I would get on here tonight. There are so many things I want to say and don't even know where to start. First let me say that I am learning so much about myself. When we first became foster parents we were blessed beyond measure of free stuff that people just kept giving to us. Now, we are beginning our process of giving back to others what was given to us and it is such a blessing. I think my husband and I are getting more out of giving away our stuff than the people are getting things they need. It is opening up doors for us to minister and bless people and that is so exciting. Today was day one of a trial for our family and I learned a few things about myself. First let me say that I cried today when I saw the birth mother of my children. She looked like she didn't even care to be there and was not happy to see me or my husband at all. During the morning the Lord was showing me how I had stopped praying for her and how I needed to start praying for her again. The Lord loves her and my prayer tonight is that I would begin to see her through His eyes and not mine. I am so glad that He is God and I am not. If He has numbered all the hairs on my head and I am more important than the birds, than so is she. I say all this to encourage anyone out there who has to deal with birth mothers and it is a struggle. I know what it is like, but hang in there. The Lord will give you the strength to get through it if you lean on Him completely. I can't wait to go back tomorrow and hopefully find some way to love on her. I pray that I will be able to minister to someone in the courthouse tomorrow and show them that Jesus Christ loves them.

Interesting?

I don't know how many people have used WIC before but friends of ours are newly licensed foster parents. They were place with a newborn and to help with the cost of formula they joined WIC. Well, the baby has now gone back to his mother and the case worker asked the foster parents to give all the coupons with the coupon book to the mother so she could continue to get WIC. The problem with this is that only the signatures on the book can use the coupons. Well, I advised her to keep the book because it is their information and not the mothers and to go ahead and give them the coupons and the mom can go to the local WIC office and get set it set up for her. I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else has dealt with WIC and had any experiences like this one? Please share what you have gone through so it will help others. Thanks, and have a Blessed day!

Support

My husband Tim and I want to be here to support and encourage anyone going through foster care, adoptions or who want to support orphans around the world.
